Let's Meet the Duo Behind the Magic! Lisa & Vikka.

We are a mother-daughter-owned tack and equestrian gift shop run by Lisa, the mom & Vikka, the daughter. We are located in the beautiful Fraser Valley of British Columbia. And together, we handpick and curate the kind of fun, bold, and high-quality tack and gifts you’ll want to surprise your horse OR your barn BFF with on some random Tuesday.

Little Bit Tacky was born to shatter the "stiff, cold, and boring beige" mold of the equestrian world, proving that both horses and riders deserve gear as bold and unapologetic as their actual personalities.

Honestly, is there anything more on track for a horse lover than setting strict, logical boundaries only to throw them out the window when your heart decides?? To truly understand the vibe of Little Bit Tacky, you have to go back to when Vikka was just 11 years old. It was finally time to shop for her very own horse! Like any sensible parents, mom and dad sat Vikka down and set three very strict, very logical conditions:  

1. We are not getting a horse this summer. We will wait until the fall.

2. No "green on green." Do not look at anything under 7 years old.

3. We’ve heard some wild stories about track horses... so absolutely NO Thoroughbreds!

Somehow, all this translated directly into: we are now taking home this literal 3 YEAR OLD FRESH OFF THE TRACK THOROUGHBRED. That beautiful Thoroughbred was Sillie, the horse that started it all!

Today, Vikka keeps a wee little herd of her own right at the Little Bit Tacky HQ, which includes Salty the Appaloosa, Nugget the Mini Horse and of course Sillie.

That rule-breaking, logic-defying, head-over-heels love is the exact energy we bring to Little Bit Tacky. We know that the bond you share with your horse is unique, chaotic, beautiful, and full of color. Your gear should reflect that! Whether you're looking for English or Western accessories, the perfect gift for your barn bestie, or a little treat to make your horse feel like the superstar they are, we've got you covered. Life is simply too short for boring tack.
